The Future-Fit Festivals (3F) project, led by the YOUROPE network, aims to make music festivals more resilient, responsible, and relevant in terms of safety, environment, and diversity. YOUROPE, existing for 23 years, brings together 113 iconic festivals from 27 European countries, reaching 6.5 million people annually. To achieve these goals, 3F relies on three cross-functional working groups (YES, GO, and Human Resources) to consolidate approaches to safety, climate, environment, and diversity. The strategy focuses on enhancing the sector's skills and continuous learning capacity by fostering collaboration between the music industry, research, events, and sports. The project aims to turn festivals into living labs by involving the public, artists, teams, and researchers. Results will be shared in Europe and overseas, positioning the network as an influential player in global cultural and creative industries. To achieve this, 3F establishes a diverse leadership team, mobilizes necessary expertise, consolidates professional communities, and involves public and private partners. A communication strategy, supported by the European Marketing and Communication Group (EMAC) and ambassadors, ensures maximum visibility of content and results on the YOUROPE Hub digital platform, as well as during events in Europe and beyond.
