The "European Trumpet" project aims to highlight ROM culture as an inspiring European resource for informal music education. Bringing together youth workers from three European organizations, its goal is to promote European musical heritage, with a particular focus on the trumpet. Inspired by the playing style of the Romani populations in Serbia, the project seeks to create connections between academic and non-academic music educators to develop innovative pedagogical tools for facilitating collective music practice. Participants work on creating a vademecum consisting of texts, videos, and tutorials, as well as exploring pedagogical models that encourage collective practice. The ultimate objective is to valorize the knowledge of individuals from minority cultures, spotlighting the contribution of young Romani people to pedagogical initiatives. The project unfolds over 12 days in two mobility phases.
