The project "Sharing subaltern knowledge through international cultural collaborations" (SHAKIN') aims to integrate subaltern knowledge and post-colonial education into the training of European cultural managers. Supported by six partners from four countries, it seeks to address contemporary challenges affecting European culture by rethinking educational approaches. Faced with tectonic changes related to globalization, migrations, ecological transition, and digital technologies, the project has three objectives: connect university and subaltern knowledge, professionalize students with a renewed cultural awareness, and support international cooperation including subaltern perspectives. To achieve these goals, SHAKIN' will develop a digital manual, a toolkit to diversify learning environments, a platform for implementing international cultural projects, and a short-term study program. Activities include intellectual production, learning activities, eight transnational meetings, four multiplier events, and dissemination actions. Participants will include approximately 80 university staff members, 40 cultural professionals, 88 students, and 180 participants in multiplier events. The intended impacts include the socially relevant professionalization of students, enhanced transnational cooperation, innovation in university programs, and the promotion of diversified knowledge and cultural practices. In summary, SHAKIN' seeks to reshape cultural education by integrating subaltern perspectives to address contemporary challenges.
