The "NATURE" project aims to create new jobs in the field of urban agriculture, particularly in peripheral areas accommodating disadvantaged inhabitants. It was designed in response to the ecological challenges of cities, emphasizing community participation and the valorization of local know-how. The project, originating in Seine Saint Denis, targets the most vulnerable populations and seeks to develop skills for urban agriculture jobs. It involves various partners, including local authorities, social organizations, social innovation actors, and a university. Project activities include creating a best practices guide, identifying new jobs related to urban agriculture, formalizing training courses, producing a comic book training manual, and developing an online immersive training toolbox. The project also includes transnational meetings, training activities, dissemination events, a communication strategy, and ongoing evaluation. Over 31 months, the project aims to raise awareness among a wide audience through educational tools, highlight the partners and participants, create new professional pathways, and reveal the human resources involved in urban ecology projects. Expected effects include the involvement of numerous organizations at different project stages, the training of educators for new jobs, the use of results by environmental stakeholders, and the engagement of potential entrepreneurs in training for new jobs. Impacts aim to involve hundreds of people, especially adults and adult educators, in the development of new NATURE jobs, improve the skills of environmental professionals for inclusion and training, and promote multisectoral cooperation for economic development and urban revitalization. The project provides concrete and experienced proposals for the adult education sector.
