The project "Musiques Migratoires" (September 2017 - August 2019) innovated in welcoming migrant children by promoting their mother tongue through singing. Implemented in schools in the Bordeaux metropolitan area, the project involved teachers, artists, and mothers, strengthening the mother-child bond in migratory journeys.
Initiated by the Rocher de Palmer and the Municipality of Bègles, the project developed skills among mothers, fostering their social integration. Expanding the approach to a European scale, the project brought together partners from Brussels, Bègles, and Thessaloniki. Over two years, workshops created innovative educational tools in three languages. Disseminated through educational, cultural, and territorial networks, these tools were shared with 5000 education professionals, enhancing communication and cooperation between teachers and migrant families.
