The "EU SMART Composer" project, running from December 2020 to May 2023, aims to facilitate knowledge transfer between music educators and students in the music sector. It develops a methodology to support teachers in teaching musical composition, helping them acquire skills in branding, entrepreneurship, and digital marketing. The goal is to enhance the employability of music students in the face of new challenges in the job market. The project includes the creation of a skills framework, the EU SMART Composer software, and a manual. Participants include educators, music institutions, and music students, with special attention to historically underrepresented composers. The methodology is based on the S.M.A.R.T. model and is adapted to various European contexts, promoting social innovation and equity. Activities include training for trainers and music educators.
