Les Nouveaux Ballets du Nord-Pas de Calais, founded in 2016 in Lille, is an artistic company bearing the work of Amélie Poirier. This structure, with a name inspired by the Dada movement, is dedicated to the production and dissemination of multidisciplinary shows, mixing dance, theater and puppet arts. The company is committed to the cultural development of Northern France, with a particular focus on supporting emerging female artists and raising public awareness through mediation initiatives. Their "Au Sud du Nord" project offers creative residencies, encounters with audiences far removed from culture, and workshops in artistic practices. Les Nouveaux Ballets attach particular importance to the place of women in society and in the cultural sphere. They seek to create an environment conducive to women's artistic endeavors, and to foster intercultural and inter-religious dialogue. The company collaborates with European partners in the Netherlands, Spain and Italy, with the aim of enriching their knowledge and initiating lasting cooperation. Their aim is to improve their skills to better serve their audiences and contribute to the emancipation and professional autonomy of women in the artistic field.
