The Real Picture is a project run by 9 European and African partners, under the direction of Malta's VisMedNet association, which aims to engage young people in a debate and educational campaign on social networks around the theme of migration. The aim is to counter the negative perceptions conveyed in the media by giving a voice to recent migrants to explain their journey, and to raise awareness among the European public of the various causes driving people to migrate, beyond just war zones. The Real Picture will train young people and youth workers in creative product development, media production and migration communication strategies. Activities will include transnational meetings, training, media content creation, multiplier events and a social networking campaign. The aim is to promote a better understanding of migration issues.
