Jobs in tourism are evolving rapidly due to artificial intelligence, digitalization, data analytics, booking platforms, environmental requirements, and successive crises, while existing training programs often remain too far removed from the actual needs of professionals. The project therefore aims to bridge the gap between academia, vocational training, and economic stakeholders in the tourism sector. The consortium brings together 14 partners from 6 European countries: Italy, Spain, Turkey, Greece, France, and Germany. It is building structured cooperation among higher education institutions, vocational training organizations, SMEs, chambers of commerce, digital experts, and public sector stakeholders. This diversity allows for the integration of academic, entrepreneurial, regional, digital, and tourism expertise.
The project aims to develop modular, short, and adaptable learning pathways that combine workshops, masterclasses, open educational resources, a continuously accessible digital platform, and micro-certifications recognized at the European level. The pedagogical innovation also relies on a monitoring system supported by artificial intelligence, capable of identifying emerging skills and helping training programs stay aligned with market developments.
