Project website AMI Innovation Sociale – Région Nouvelle Aquitaine 2017 24 months 40 000€ Le LABA (France)
Between September 2017 and August 2019, the innovative project 'Courts Circuits' curated three unique tourist routes, guided by artists from Nouvelle-Aquitaine. These geolocated itineraries unveil fascinating narratives and lesser-known locations on the Right Bank of the Bordeaux Metropolis. The project's unique approach connects Tourism, Social, and Cultural spheres through an unprecedented training-action led by artists, involving diverse local residents. Guillaumit designed '7 Family Recipes' in collaboration with AMAP Les Gourmandignes, presenting seven original dishes created by residents of the Right Bank. These meals reflect the cultural diversity and unique sites of the region, allowing exploration of Cenon's industrial, agricultural, and familial past. 'Courts Circuits – The Walk of Samuël J.Lewis 1700s,' commissioned by LABA in 2019, revisits the ephemeral history of New Bassens through the letters of Samuel J. Lewis, a young African American soldier. The walk explores four secret locations in Bassens while addressing the context of discrimination within the American military during World War I. Coordinated by Le LABA and supported by the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region, this project embodies a convergence of Tourism, Social, and Cultural elements, revealing lesser-known aspects of local history.
